Now that summer is here and the kids don't have homework every night and can stay up a little later, we adults can enjoy the weekday evenings a little more as well! We decided to revive our weekday evening social time this past week, and so Wednesday night I headed over to my friend Gail's house after dinner, to enjoy a little down time with her. She lives just a street over from me, so we can get together pretty easily, and now that our boys are getting bigger they can go back and forth on their bikes, etc. too.
I know there are many places in town that have women's nights, and a couple that combine Wednesdays and wine. But for those of us who have kids, that isn't always possible- so we'll be having our own Wine Wednesdays this summer! The boys had a great time playing outside, while we enjoyed catching up and a few glasses of wine on their back deck.
The third woman of our trio, Paula, couldn't be with us on Wednesday night but little Caitlyn did like hangin' with us on the deck and keeping us company!
It was a great night, beautiful weather and just nice to relax and unwind. Looking forward to continuing our weekly evenings over the summer! Cheers, Gail, and we'll see you next week, Paula!
